Salomon,
the leader in technical design and innovation in mountain sports
welcomes Chris McKearin as its new alpine commercial manager.
McKearin has worked with Salomon’s parent company, Amer Sports, since
2007, most recently serving as the Atomic Freeski Sports Marketing
Manager in Altenmarkt, Austria.
Amer’s winter sports equipment vice president in the United States,
Mike Adams, says of McKearin, "Through his diverse experience with Amer
in addition to his intimate connection with alpine skiing, Chris is
extremely well equipped to oversee the Salomon alpine category and
accelerate its success."
As alpine commercial manager, McKearin will work alongside sales,
product, brand and operations managers around the world to provide
consumer insight and strategic guidance for the Salomon alpine equipment
group in the United States.
"Chris will bring creative energy to this position," continues Adams.
"When it comes to alpine, he knows first-hand the ins and outs of what
the consumer needs. We couldn’t hope for a better person to fill this
role."
McKearin will begin his new role as Salomon alpine commercial manager
at the end of November, based at the Salomon USA headquarters in Ogden,
Utah.
"I’m thrilled to be on board with Salomon," says McKearin. "It’s a
brand I’ve worked closely with and admired for a long time, and I’m
looking forward to contributing to its success. Mostly, I’m excited to
put my passion for skiing to work as part of this company that has so
