WSI develops high tech undersuit for the USA SKI JUMPING team

Minnesota-Made Company Gives Ski Jumpers the Edge with special Underwear.

Eagan, MN (January 31, 2014) -- WSI Sports makes innovative base layer clothing and gear for sports like football, baseball, hunting, skiing and all other outdoor activities. They are also the official supplier of the U.S. Ski Jumpers, who will have the advantage of cutting-edge apparel when competing in Sochi this February.

Company founder Joel Wiens says the U.S. Ski Jumping team will be wearing his product in the upcoming Winter Olympics. This includes high tech under suits, apparel and accessories. The products will assure that the athletes stay warm and keep focused on the gold. Wiens says being from Minnesota helped create a better product, "You know, we're right in the heart of it as far as cold weather goes."

The clothing line features a fabric technology called "HEATR®." Wiens says the proprietary mix of material and weave generates heat over specific areas of the body that help absorb and disperse that heat. Wiens says its physics and physiology, "It's a function of understanding the body."

The Ski Jumpers will be wearing a newly developed full body under suit (below) that uses HEATR®fabric through the core muscles groups and their patented WikMax®material through the other parts of the suit.

The heated parts of the gear will help the ski jumpers maximize their warmth and blood flow throughout competition, while the WikMax® will keep the athlete dry and focused.
