OrthoLite Announces New Co-Branded Partnership with Italian Shoe Brand, La Sportiva

La Sportiva’s Mountain Running styles to feature OrthoLite insoles

AMHERST, Mass.--OrthoLite, the leading provider of comfort insoles, announced today its newest co-branded partnership with La Sportiva, an Italian shoe company and leader in outdoor footwear. La Sportiva Spring/Summer 2014 men’s and women’s Mountain Running styles will be co-branded with OrthoLite insoles and available for purchase in late March.

To celebrate this new partnership, OrthoLite and La Sportiva are teaming up to give away two free pairs of the Helios model through a Twitter sweepstakes running from March 18 through March 25.

“OrthoLite is excited about our partnership with La Sportiva, and the continued growth in the mountain and trail running shoe categories,” said Pamela Gelsomini, OrthoLite president. “For more than a decade, La Sportiva has equipped some of the best trail runners in the world with mountain running shoes and we look forward to offering runners the ultimate in comfort over tough terrain.”
OrthoLite insoles will be featured exclusively in five La Sportiva mountain running models and two approach models with two different thicknesses:
  • Mountain Running 4mm: Performance oriented insoles with optimal compromise between comfort and reactivity that are available in the La Sportiva Ultra Raptor, Wild Cat 3.0 and Savage GTX models.
  • Mountain Running Ergonomic 5mm: Comfort oriented insoles that are available in the La Sportiva Bushido and Helios models.
“La Sportiva aims to make the best technical, innovative footwear for exploring the outdoors,” said Lorenzo Delladio, La Sportiva CEO. “We chose to partner with OrthoLite because it’s the only insole brand that guarantees to reach the best levels of comfort, breathability and moisture management, exactly what our trail runners need.”

Beginning March 18 through March 25, La Sportiva and OrthoLite will host a Twitter sweepstakes for a chance to win a pair of Helios shoes with OrthoLite insoles. To enter, participants must tweet at both @LaSportivaTwitt and @OrthoLite explaining why they want to try the Helios. Two winners will be randomly selected and OrthoLite will notify winners with a tweet followed by a Direct Message requesting shoe sizes and mailing addresses. Sneakers will be shipped to the winners in March/April 2014 and the sweepstakes is limited to European consumers, age 18 or older.

About La Sportiva:

From 1920 – 1940, Narciso Delladio handcrafted wooden clogs and leather boots for many lumberjacks and farmers of the Fassa and Fiemme valleys in Dolomites, Italy. After the war, the demand for boots increased, obliging Delladio to hire new workers, and the good name of "Calzoleria Sportiva" crossed the boarders of the valleys. Now, La Sportiva produces boots and shoes for outdoor activities, including mountain climbing, mountain running, trekking and skimountaineerging. After more than 85 years, La Sportiva’s mission remains the same: Innovation with passion.
