Cycle champion Purito Rodríguez to design headwear for Buff

Catalonian cooperation: Cycle champion Joaquim “Purito” and headwear maker Buff have joined forces to create a signature collection for this year’s winner of the Volta a Catalunya.

Joaquin “Purito” Rodriguez, the current leader of the Katusha Russian team will be the new face of BUFF® Headwear for 2014.

Joaquin “Purito” Rodriguez has been in world cycling for over 12 years and has a great track record which includes stage victories at the Tour, the Giro and La Vuetta as as well as an awesome 2nd place at the Italian Giro in 2012 with only 16 seconds between him and the winner.

Since 2009, when he won a bronze medal at the Medrisio World Championships, “Purito” has consistently been one of the top 3 road riders. In 2014, he will be riding as No 1 on the UCI World Tour, a ranking which rewards the most prominent and regular riders. “Purito” has a clear goal - to achieve victory in 1 of the 3 biggest races; and BUFF® looks forward to joining him in this triumph.

His agreement with BUFF® Headwear will last throughout the season and see him wearing products from the BUFF® Headwear collection - essential garments for every cyclist. He will also be an important part of the BUFF® communications campaign during the year. Soon we will be launching a limited edition BUFF® design inspired by the cyclist, We’ll keep you posted!
