Ibex Outdoor Clothing Hires James Fisher as VP of Product

WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, VT (April 8, 2014) — Ibex Outdoor Clothing, manufacturer of premium technical Merino wool apparel and accessories, adds a key new member to its executive team. Effective immediately, James Fisher will head the Ibex global design team in his role of VP of Product.

Fisher brings more than 15 years of product development and supply chain management experience to his new position at Ibex. Coming to Ibex from Burton Snowboards where he most recently served as the Senior Business Unit Director for Tech Softgoods, Fisher has worked extensively in product and sourcing development. His expertise with factories and fabric makers will ensure that Ibex continues to advance and innovate in fabric development.

At Ibex, Fisher will be focused on the bridge between production and design with both factories and fabric makers by running all things product – from design to development to line planning. Fisher will have design and product architecture influence beginning in Ibex’s 2015 line, which will showcase an even greater level of innovative design and direction for the company.

A fellow Vermont resident, Fisher is an avid cyclist, snowboarder and general board sports junkie. His dog Kendall is stoked to join the Ibex pack.
