Stradalli Cycle, the high performance carbon bicycle manufacturer, is pleased to report that the Stradalli 2014 Phantom II is proving to be a consistent winner in Triathlon and Iron Man competitions. The Phantom II is a full carbon time trial frame from which Stradalli builds a range of time trial bikes.

Triathlon athletes have demonstrated that the Phantom II’s design is highly beneficial. The bike has an efficient aerodynamic design which reduces drag and offers some of the lowest levels of frontal surface area on the market today.

Most Triathlon events don’t allow the athletes to draft (stay in the slipstream of other riders), something that is permitted in other road racing events. This means that Triathletes who use the Phantom II can gain an advantage by as the bicycle was designed specifically to reduce wind resistance.

“To reduce parasitic drag, we designed a bayonet style fork that cuts through the air like a knife and relocated the TRP front brake to the back side of the fork. The highly aerodynamic design of the Phantom II also ensures that riders spare the appropriatemuscle groups needed later on in the running part of the event. Since the Phantom II is available with a range of groupsets, including the Shimano, SRAM and Campy, riders are able to increase their cadence (or pedaling rate) towards the end of the cycling segment and prepare their muscles for the upcoming run.
