Wilderness Systems and Adventure technology Partner to support the wild image

Top paddlesports brands will provide kayaking gear to support expedition of outdoor adventure, education and awareness

GREENVILLE, S.C. (March 31, 2014) –Wilderness Systems and Adventure Technology have teamed up to sponsor Daniel Fox’s Wild ImageProject as he travels to some of North America’s most pristine habitats to capture the true essence of nature through photography. The core of Fox’s narrative,

“The Power of Nature to Restore the Human Spirit,” seeks to inspire the public in reconnecting with the natural world and its teachings. Through his photography, writings, his series of short videos called “Minute ofNature” and his public presentations, Daniel invites his followers to not only seek the outdoors but to “Stop, Breathe, Listen & Relax” so that they can be open to the full power of insights that nature delivers.

“Wilderness Systems and Adventure Technology products have long provided the tools to access off-the-beaten-path destinations and give people an opportunity to explore their surroundings in a more intimate way,” said Evan Lyendecker, marketing manager for Wilderness Systems and Adventure Technology.

“The goal of the Wild Image Project is to capture beautiful, remote places for all to experience and then inspire people to connect with their natural world, so it was a natural partnership for us. We are always looking for new ways to expose people to the wild and watery environments we depend on and care about so much, and we believe Daniel’s expedition helps foster that awareness and passion.”

The Wild Image Project, which enters its fifth year, began in 2014 in Canada on Vancouver Island, where Daniel Fox currently is. Fox is using a Wilderness Systems Mango Tsunami 175 PRO and Mango Zephyr 160 PRO as well as an Adventure Technology Exodus Superlight to help him explore his destinations.

In addition to the Pacific Northwest, Fox will continue his paddling adventures in Juneau and on Kodiak Island in Alaska, Teton and Yellowstone National Parks in Wyoming, and the Channel Islands National Park in California. He will be documenting his journey on multiple social media platforms and using InReach GPS tracking, allowing fans to follow his journey on wildimageproject.com.

About Adventure Technology:

In 1993, an idea for the first, whitewater-specific, ergonomic paddle was born. That idea grew into Adventure Technology (AT), a paddle maker who doesn’t seek to “balance” adventure with technology, but rather seeks to push both concepts to the outer limits. AT now delivers premium whitewater and touring paddles known for excellence in design, craftsmanship and innovation. In 2009, AT joined the rest of the Confluence Watersports family in Greenville, S.C., to continue its legacy of dedicated research and development, all in the name of a good adventure.
