named President, Sports and Leisure Trends.

a global information company, has announced Jim Kelley, the former
President of Leisure Trends, has been named President, Sports and
Leisure Trends. Kelley will remain in Boulder, headquarters for NPD’s
Sports business.In November 2013, The NPD Group acquired Leisure Trends, the Boulder-based leader in market research for the sports and recreation industries, significantly expanding its existing Sports business, retail partnerships, and industry expertise.
The combined businesses now provide the most comprehensive view of the sports, outdoor, and recreation marketplace. Together, they track retail sales and consumer trends across apparel, footwear, and equipment for running, outdoor, fitness, cycling, and snow sports categories.
Kelley joined Leisure Trends in 2009 as Vice President of Consumer Research and built an industry-leading custom consumer research team focused on the sports, recreation, and fitness industry. Kelley’s role quickly expanded into Chief Operating Officer.

The management team assisting Jim Kelley with the Sports business includes Joe Hachemeister, Executive Director, Client Development; Julia Clark Day, Executive Director, Business Development and Jason Gee, Director, Operations.
