Steamboat Springs, CO (October 1st 2014) -- Chaos Headwear, makers of high quality headwear in the US and world wide, announces an evening of intrigue, talent, and motivation founded and hosted by Chaos team spokesperson, Chris Anthony, and his Youth Initiative Project.  Join us and Governor Hickenlooper’s advisor as he  proclaims this a Day of Inspiration! Meet Chaos sponsors, ski industry leaders, world class athletes, and this year’s scholarship award-winner, Ellie Gober, while watching awe-inspiring youth in action at Denver’s acclaimed Bluebird Theater, Monday October 13th, at 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm.  Doors open at 6:00 pm.

The Chris Anthony Youth Initiative Project's annual event takes over the Bluebird Theater that night, transforming it into a place where kids’ dreams come true.. The evening includes live entertainment from young musicians Bridget Law and Scott Stoughton, as well as music from DJ Devin Urioste, from Youth On Record, an organization focused on "empowerment and behavioral modification through music education to youth." Ms. Law is an accomplished violist, while Mr. Stoughton is skilled with a number of instruments. In addition, five world-class athletes (four of whom are part of the Warren Miller Team) will present multi-media, family friendly segments.

Proceeds from the evening benefit the Youth Initiative Project’s school tours  and provide scholarships for deserving children, enabling them to continue to work towards their athletic goals or help them ignite those dreams. One of the first recipients of the Youth Initiative Project funds was eleven year-old Ellie Gober from Silverton, Colorado. Ellie, a dedicated skier, was chosen by her peers, coaches and leaders in the community to receive funds to continue her training and travel. The funds from the Youth Initiative were matched by British Petroleum to ensure that this talented young girl could continue to pursue her skiing goals and her studies.

The presenting athletes include: Chris Anthony, the founder and Executive Director of the Youth Initiative Project, as well as the evening’s host; Chris Davenport, widely regarded as one of the premier big mountain skiers in the world today; Ingrid Backstrom, of Big Mountain Skiing; Jess McMillan, a Freeskiing World Tour Champ and United States Freeskiing National Champion; and, Mike Douglas, also known as the Godfather of modern freeskiing, who is credited with the design of the modern twin–tip ski – an innovation that changed the sport.

The Youth Initiative Project, the brain-child of Anthony, arose from his years of traveling and living the dream as both a pro skier and extreme ski guide to provide opportunities to kids that otherwise would never have the chance to pursue their own dreams. The night at the Bluebird Theater kicks off the season’s latest motivational school tour.

Throughout the tour Anthony visits schools and shares a multimedia presentation from his Warren Miller Films, which guides kids on a global outdoor journey. In addition to his skiing resume, Anthony’s expertise includes: writing for several publications, co-authoring a guidebook, screen writing, hosting television programming, working as a Heli-guide and being a sought-after motivational speaker. VIP tables, which include reserved seating and food, can be reserved directly by contacting : Chris Anthony.
