Business people :Spyder Names Joann Smith as Merchandising VP

BOULDER, Colo. (September , 2012) - Spyder Active Sports, Inc., the Colorado-based manufacturer of premium technical ski and active mountain lifestyle apparel, has promoted Joann Smith from the role of Director of Merchandising to the role of Vice President of Merchandising. Smith will continue to report to Spyder’s VP of Design and Merchandising, J.J. Collier, as she oversees the product-focused business processes for the iconic brand.

Having been with Spyder for eleven years, Smith offers valuable historical perspective, has gained a unique understanding of the brand, and has directly contributed to the brand momentum Spyder is experiencing.

In her new role, Smith will continue her business-driven merchandising efforts, and in addition, will manage Spyder’s raw materials and product development teams.
