Converse Announces Spring 2014 All Star Collection

Converse launches collection with a special media presentation in New York City featuring Queen Andrea. 

Today, Converse Inc. debuts its Spring 2014 All Star collection featuring dynamic pops of colors and elevated silhouettes to provoke self-expression. Colorful tie-die prints, archive patterns and bold color create functional yet stylish looks perfect for Spring. The highlight of season is the release of the women’s double wedged Chuck Taylor All Star Platform Plus. The new Converse Spring/Summer 2014 All Star Collection launches globally February 2014.

To launch the collection, Converse hosted a special media event in New York City where local graffiti artist Queen Andrea spoke about three new murals she created for Converse. The murals are part of a larger Converse art initiative called Sneakers Clash (#sneakersclash) that also includes artists Megan Caponetto and Greg Lamarche. Each artist was asked to reimagine everyday spaces and objects with color in San Francisco, Boston and New York.

CHUCK TAYLOR ALL STAR PLATFORM PLUS

An all-new silhouette, the Chuck Taylor All Star Platform Plus takes the iconic sneaker to new heights adding a feminine touch to a sporty silhouette. With over two inches of a concealed wedge, the Chuck Taylor All Star Platform Plus gives your feet a dramatic burst of bold of color. Available Colors:Black, Diva Pink, Nightshade, White. CHUCK TAYLOR ALL STAR TIE-DYE

The Chuck Taylor All Star Tie-Dye celebrates color to the fullest, showcasing an explosion of color in high-top and low-top styles. New marbleized tie-dyes in bright colors are seen throughout the collection for a vibrant festival going look. Available Colors: Black/White, Nightshade/White, Black/White, Nightshade/White, Mesange/White, Dozar Blue/Ensign Blue/Puritan Gray, Red/Radio Blue/Black, Graphite/Old Silver/Oyster Gray. Suggested Retail Price: $55-60 USD

CHUCK TAYLOR ALL STAR '70

The new Converse All Star Chuck ’70 is released with two of the first prints ever seen on a Chuck Taylor All Star sneaker, with striking camouflage and zebra patterns. The new Converse All Star Chuck ’70 will also be available in six of the original 1972 colors in high and ox silhouettes, all featuring heavy grade canvas uppers, a smaller toe box, reinforced canvas heel strips, premium nickel hardware, thick cotton laces and a cushioned sockliner for added comfort. Available Colors: Camouflage Print, Zebra Print, Sunflower Yellow, Black, Heritage Blue, Crimson, True Navy, Parchment. Suggested Retail Price: $80 - $90 USD
