Rab USA has hired Jonathan Frederick as U.S. Marketing Manager. Jon
will be based out of the Rab USA office in Louisville and will be
working with both Rab and Lowe Alpine. Jon will head up the marketing
strategies at Rab USA including athletes, web, events, social media,
public relations and advertising.
Jon comes to Rab from one of the premier Colorado retailers, Bent
Gate Mountaineering, where he developed successful marketing strategies
and customer activation programs over the past 6 years. A Washington
state native, Jon is an accomplished alpinist and backcountry skier, and
the type that relishes the opportunity to rapidly descend mountainsides
via mountain bike in the summer months.

About Rab USA
Founded by Rab Carrington in 1981,
Carrington was relying on his extensive experience gained on bold,
lightweight first ascents to design and manufacture down clothing and
sleeping bags of the highest quality. This equipment had to meet the
needs of a new breed of lightweight alpinist using techniques pioneered
by Rab himself. This equipment had to be designed ‘for the most extreme
conditions in the world’. After expanding distribution channels
throughout Europe it was decided that Rab should look further afield and
in late 2009 the first US office was opened in Louisville, Boulder, CO.
The team in the US office carry the Rab ethos, heritage and product
range to an all new audience.
