Helium Bivy
– Made from the same fabric as the popular and trusted Helium II jacket, the Helium Bivy is the lightest in the Outdoor Research collection, weighing in at a mere 18 ounces for a fully waterproof/breathable shelter (16 ounces without single overhead pole). A no-nonsense clamshell design paired with fully waterproof/breathable Pertex Shield fabric make the Helium Bivy ideal for minimalists on fast-and-light solo missions. Details include a 70-denier floor, No-See-Um Netting at the opening to keep out bugs, and straps to hold sleeping pads in place. $169.
Flex-Tex II Gaiters
– Whether protecting against scree, snow or ice, the Flex Tex II Gaiters are a shorter-cut soft-shell gaiter offering just the right amount of protection in alpine environments. Made with durable, nylon-spandex Cordura fabric, the Flex Tex II builds on the iconic Outdoor Research gaiter of the same name with a more fully featured, updated version than the original Flex Tex. Entry and exit uses an offset closure, and a single draw cord on the back tightens the gaiter using an X pattern for the cord to run through both the inside and outside of the gaiter, so it’s incredibly effective at reducing volume and providing precise fit. Sparkplug Gaiters
– Ultralight gaiters for trail running, the Sparkplug Gaiters are designed for the minimalist who wants everything you need in a gaiter and nothing more – and all at an affordable price.
