Boating US : April Outboard Engine Shipments and Retail Sales Increase

NMMA released its exclusive monthly report on outboard engine wholesale shipments and retail sales showing that in April, U.S. outboard engine wholesale shipments were up 11.5% from a year ago for NMMA’s control group of manufacturers. Corresponding dollars were up 22.2%.

For the 12 months through April, unit volumes were up 5.8% yearo-over-year (YOY) while corresponding dollars were up 10.9%. Total retail sales based on warranty card registrations were up 9.6% (R12M, YOY), up slightly from the previous month.
