San Jose, CAMay 05, 2014
Elite athletes, their trainers and weekend warriors striving to reach the next level in their fitness endeavors can now more accurately track and evaluate workouts with the introduction of SweetBeatLifeTM. The latest release of the popular heart rate variability app from SweetWater Health, SweetBeatLifeTM is now available in conjunction with the HealthPatchTM, an advanced medical-grade biosensor from Vital Connect.

Designed to replace chest strap and wristband fitness tracking technology, the HealthPatchTM provides a comprehensive set of biometrics for monitoring and improving fitness levels.

Utilizing the advanced biosensor technology built into the HealthPatchTM, SweetBeatLifeTM measures heart rate variability (HRV), stress, heart rate, steps and calories, and it assesses how these indicators interact with each other during training and throughout the day. Patent-pending correlation algorithms allow SweetBeatLife TM to harvest insight from other health and fitness platforms and integrate that data seamlessly with the extensive biometrics from the HealthPatchTM.

“We have a loyal, growing base of elite athletes and trainers who use SweetBeat regularly to manage their recovery and performance,” said Ronda Collier, CEO of SweetWater Health.

“Elite athletes require the most accurate biometrics about their health and fitness level to prevent injuries and reach peak performance and SweetBeatLife with HealthPatch met the demands of our test athletes. This is the most sophisticated solution available for elite athletes and fitness enthusiasts to reach the next performance level.”

Fitness coach, author, exercise physiologist, ex-bodybuilder and Ironman triathlete Ben Greenfield endorses SweetBeatLife TM.

“As a trainer and athlete I know it is essential to track sleep, stress levels and nervous system response to everything from food intake to workouts in order to achieve optimum fitness,” said Greenfield.

“By pairing the Vital Connect HealthPatch with my SweetBeatLife phone app, I can accurately track all aspects of my personal well-being twenty-four hours a day and get valuable feedback that allows me to make micro adjustments on the fly.”

“The HealthPatch is the ideal training companion for athletes,” said Vital Connect CEO Nersi Nazari. “The unobtrusive adhesive patch is worn on the chest and can be used to track fitness indicators twenty-four hours a day. We are excited to partner with SweetWater to deliver athletes a highly accurate, easy to use fitness tracking solution.”

SweetBeatLife is now available to download from the Apple Store for $9.99. A HealthPatch starter kit including one reusable module and five adhesive patches can be purchased via the SweetBeatLife application for an introductory price of $199.00.
