LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y., Nov. 12, 2014 -- Polar today announced that it has once again been named a CES Innovation Awards Honoree, this time for the brand new Polar M400 and the Polar V800. Products entered in this prestigious program are judged by a preeminent panel of independent industrial designers, independent engineers and members of the trade media to honor outstanding design and engineering in cutting edge consumer electronics products across 28 product categories. This past year, CES also recognized the Polar Loop fitness tracker as an Innovation Awards Honoree.
The M400 and V800 are two of the newest smart coaching technologies from Polar. The M400 is the perfect training companion for those who want a GPS watch with 24/7 activity tracking. The V800 includes those features and more. Ideal for elite athletes and triathletes, the V800 offers heart rate data while swimming, as well as altitude readings with a built-in barometric pressure sensor, making it the smartest and most advanced multisport training computer. Both products sync with Polar Flow app and web service. Periodic software updates provide "future-proof" upgrades as advancements roll out.
"We've been a pioneer in wearable technology long before it became a buzzword, so we're honored to see both the Polar M400 and V800 spotlighted for their innovation and design," said Herb Baer, Polar USA President. "We're even more excited to see the difference they make in real life, helping people understand their bodies better to surpass any training goal."
The prestigious CES Innovation Awards are sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)®, the producer of the International CES, the global gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technology, and have been recognizing achievements in product design and engineering since 1976.
The Polar M400, V800 and a range of Polar smart coaching wearable technologies will be displayed at the 2015 International CES, which runs Jan. 6-9, 2015, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Honorees were also displayed at CES Unveiled New York, which featured dozens of exhibitors and networking opportunities.
Entries are evaluated on their engineering, aesthetic and design qualities, intended use/function and user value, how the design and innovation of the product directly compares to other products in the marketplace and unique/novel features present.
Products chosen as CES Innovation Honorees reflect innovative design and engineering in some of the most cutting edge tech products and services coming to market.
2015 CES Innovation Honoree products are featured on CESweb.org/Innovation, which lists product categories, as well as each product name, manufacturer information, description, photo and URL.
