Partners with Trout Unlimited, The Water Project, The Conservation Alliance, Surfrider Foundation, and American Rivers
Park City, UT (June 15, 2015) – AVEX,
a leading reusable water bottle brand for outdoor adventurers, is
pleased to announce the launch of the #ItTakesADrop campaign on July 1,
2015 to help raise awareness about protecting and preserving access to
the earth’s most precious resource: water. The launch of this campaign
coincides with AVEX’s new partnership announcement with the following
non-profit organizations: American Rivers, Surfrider Foundation, Trout
Unlimited, The Water Project and The Conservation Alliance.
The #ItTakesADrop campaign will run for five months, and each month
one of AVEX’s new water resource partners will be highlighted for the
great work they’re doing in caring for and conserving our water
resources. The campaign will kick things off in July with a Trout
Unlimited contest running from July 1through July 22. During this month
and all proceeding months, the campaign will focus on raising awareness
for the respective non-profit being highlighted. The contests will
involve participants sharing photos and stories on Twitter and Instagram
in response to each contest. Winners will be announced at the end of
the month and involve various limited edition AVEX branded products.
AVEX has identified these likeminded non-profit organizations to
partner with in order to address the water conservation issue, helping
specifically to reduce waste from disposable plastic water bottles from
the water cycle and aid in the preservation of clean water resources.

About the partnerships:
American Rivers:
During the month of September, American Rivers will be featured in the #ItTakesADrop campaign. Additionally, AVEX
is supporting American Rivers by gifting the organization with
stainless steel imprinted Highland thermal mugs. American Rivers will
give these custom American Rivers logoed mugs to its key donors.
American Riders works to protect wild rivers, restore damaged rivers and
conserve clean water for people and nature. American Rivers has
protected and restored more than 150,000 miles of rivers through
advocacy efforts, on-the-ground projects, and an annual America’s Most
Endangered Rivers® campaign.
Surfrider Foundation:
AVEX
has partnered with Surfrider Foundation to provide the organization
with matte black imprinted AVEX Highland thermal mugs for Surfrider
Foundation to give to its key donors. Surfrider Foundation will be
highlighted in an AVEX-hosted contest during the month of August for the
#ItTakesADrop campaign. Surfrider Foundation is dedicated to protecting
the ocean, waves and beaches through a powerful activist network. The
organization’s focus is on four areas: beach access, water quality,
coastal preservation, and protection.
Trout Unlimited:
In
addition to the #ItTakesADrop campaign and Trout’s featured month of
July, AVEX has partnered with Trout Unlimited to assist in the
organization’s own recent fundraising campaign that involves giving away
2,000 stainless steel Brazos water bottles to those that made a
donation to Trout Unlimited. AVEX also gifted the organization imprinted
matte green Highland thermal mugs for internal use and donor
appreciation. Trout Unlimited works to conserve, protect and restore
North America’s coldwater fisheries and their watersheds.
The Water Project:
The
final month of the #ItTakesADrop campaign, November, will be focused on
the work that The Water Project is doing. AVEX has partnered with The
Water Project by providing 300 imprinted Brazos water bottles to assist
in the organization’s “Water Drops of Hope” fundraising campaign. AVEX
also gifted The Water Project with imprinted matte black Highland
thermal mugs for donor appreciation. The Water Project works to provide
sustainable water projects to communities in sub-Saharan Africa who
suffer needlessly from a lack of access to clean water and proper
sanitation.
The Conservation Alliance:
In
addition to becoming a new member of The Conservation Alliance, AVEX
will donate a percentage of all revenue generated from its hydration
product sales to the Alliance. The month of October will highlight The
Conservation Alliance and the work that they’re doing alongside an
#ItTakesADrop contest. The Conservation Alliance strives to protect and
preserve North America’s last wild spaces. The Alliance has helped
protect 44 million acres, 2,945 river miles, removed or halted 26 dams,
purchased 10 climbing areas, and designated five marine reserves.
