The Ski-Ride Fest will be held at Copper Mountain Resort Feb. 3-4, 2014 in conjunction with the On-Snow Demo.
“Copper’s fantastic terrain, setting and amenities make is a great place for everyone-reps, buyers, suppliers, media, industry partners-to gather after the SIA Snow Show,” said David Ingemie, SIA president. “Whether you want to test gear for your shop, shred with your friends, or some of both - join us!”
Copper Mountain Resort, which opened on Nov. 1, has naturally progressive skiing and riding terrain that provides an ideal backdrop for demoing snowboards and skis, and having a good time on snow. A variety of intermediate- and expert-level runs that gradually progress from easy to difficult will help retailers fully experience the 14/15 products over the two-day demo. Check out all Copper's terrain has to offer in its Opening Day Video.
“Whether you’re on skis or a board, at Copper it will be quick and easy for you to take advantage of varied terrain while keeping close to the Demo,” said Danny Vogel, general manager of Woodward at Copper and interim terrain park manager of Copper Mountain Resort. “We’ll have a full progression flow through our terrain parks with small, medium, and large features to truly make sure you get the full demo experience out of the gear.”
The Nordic Demo is walking/riding distance from the On-Snow Demo and will run all day Feb 3 and 4. It features a 5K-loop and well-groomed park for a complete cross-country experience alongside the entire industry participating in the On-Snow Demo/Ski-Ride Fest.
“You can't sell your customer on an experience you haven't had,” said Morgan Turner, president of Western Winter Sports Representatives Association (WWSRA). “Taking the time to try the products you currently carry and test out products you don't carry is vitally important to staying current and educated on what is happening with technology in our industry.” WWSRA’s Rocky Mountain Demo is in conjunction with the SIA On-Snow Demo and in partnership with Cross Country Ski Areas Association and the Nordic Demo.
The new On-Snow Demo location at Copper Mountain, only 75-miles west of Denver and situated in a pedestrian-only village, will bring the industry together with a 2,000-square-foot Conference Center that connects the registration area, dining areas and Boot Demo as well as access to many local dining, nightlife, shopping and lodging options all within walking distance of the lifts.
Cost for admission is $20 and includes breakfast, lunch, lift tickets, and access to On-Snow Demo festivities. The On-Snow Demo/Ski-Ride Fest is for the snow sports industry and is not open to the public.
Member-owned, industry-inspired and dedicated exclusively to snow sports, the 2014 SIA Snow Show is scheduled for Jan. 30-Feb. 2, 2014 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado followed by the On-Snow Demo/Ski-Ride Fest at Colorado’s Copper Mountain Resort, February 3-4, 2014.
