(Steamboat Springs, Colo.) – Big Agnes® Inc., maker of innovative sleeping bags, pads and tents, will introduce a new collection of mid-weight down jackets with DownTek™ water repellent down at Outdoor Retailer Winter Market. The hoodless Hole in the Wall DownTek™ Jacket and hooded Shovelhead DownTek™ Jacket will be available in men’s and women’s models.

The Hole in the Wall and Shovelhead jackets will include DownTek™ water repellant down to reduce insulation clumping and retain warmth in wet conditions. DownTek™ uses a proprietary nanotechnology coating that transforms down into a water repellent, anti-microbial and anti-bacterial insulation material. Even in the wettest of conditions, DownTek™ repels water while maintaining loft, insulation value and breathability.
The jackets also feature Insotect Flow™ Vertical Thermal Chambers (VTC’s), which distribute heat more uniformly compared to side-to-side horizontal baffles. FlowGates™ are incorporated throughout the length of the VTC’s to prevent the insulation from migrating to the bottom of the jacket. This maintains uniform insulation distribution and eliminates cold spots.
All jackets will be on display at the Big Agnes booth (#21041) during the Outdoor Retailer Winter Market, January 23-26 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
