Sport Event : Skateboard Race; Alternative Transportation Displayed in a 26.2 Mile Skateboard Race

Skateboarders from across the country visit Grand Rapids, MI for a 26.2 mile skateboard race called the Rapid Movement Marathon.

On Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Millennium Park, presented by Blood Sweat Pavement, Bustin Boards Custom Longboards NYC & the IDSA, The Rapid Movement Marathon, the highest profile skateboard event to happen in the Midwest since the early 1990′s will take place.

125 registered skateboarding participants in 2012 pushed skateboards around a 26-mile loop in Millennium Park - Grand Rapids, Michigan – marking the greatest number of Skathletes involved in a skateboard competition in the MidWest. The Rapid Movement Skateboard Marathon is hosted to accommodate an International demand for diverse longboarding & skateboard events.

Hosting organic skateboarding events will present the idea of Distance Skateboarding to like-minded individuals while offering an incredible, sanctioned and insured location for experienced and non-experienced Skathletes to enjoy a skate in the park.
