Business news : Fountaine Pajot catamarans, Evolution of governance and third consecutive year of growth +6.1 %, with a turnover of € 40.7 million

Fountaine Pajot , a world leading manufacturer of cruising catamarans , was another year of growth in sales for the year ended 31 August 2013.

Turnover 2012/2013 rose by 6.1% to € 40.7 million , in line with the objectives announced earlier this year .

The heart -end segment rebound

The business year 2012/2013 was mainly driven by the Heart Range segment , boosted by the success of the new model Helia 44, a reference in cruising catamarans . The turnover of this segment grew by 29.3% with a level of activity to € 27.2 million , or 67 % of total sales volume.

The increasing range and continues to welcome new flagship model , the Cumberland 47 LC and 67 Victoria , is expected to drive growth in this segment in the current year .

Commercial development on high potential markets

According to its development plan , Fountaine Pajot continues its international expansion focused in particular on the most promising markets. The company now generates nearly 55% of its sales outside Europe ( incl. France ) .

The activity in North America is very strong growth (turnover multiplied by 3 , or 17 % of sales) , the result of market rebound and commercial restructuring of sales network this region. The Caribbean grew by 16.4% (22 % of sales) , and the Asia - Indian - Pacific reported a mixed performance (14% of sales).

In Europe , the market is growing in Germany and outside the EU, but more mixed in other areas (25% of sales). On the domestic market , sales fell by 11.3 % (20% of sales).

Outlook 2014 season

Since September , Fountaine Pajot is present in all major exhibitions of the profession in France and abroad . Sales already achieved , a significant increase , allow new growth target for the year opens.

Evolution of Governance

After 37 years as President - Founder of the company Fountaine Pajot , Jean -François Fountaine wishes to convey the direction of the company in early 2014. Nicolas Gardies , currently Chief Operating Officer , will succeed him as president of the company .
