After ten years at the top of buying-group Garant Schuh + Mode and
its successor company ANWR Garant International, Robert Natter has
decided to leave the firm and the shoe industry.
In these functions he
also supervised the sporting goods buying group Fair Play International
which is particulary strong in the Benelux countries.
At the helm of
Garant, he led the group through its bankruptcy procedures which lasted
from 2004 through 2007.
He was also one of the managers behind the merger between Garant and
ANWR, the other big German shoe buying group which holds the license for
Sport 2000 in Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
As managing
director of ANWR Garant International, he basically oversaw the
development of the international business. In this function he has now
been replaced, effective April 1, by Heike Discher and Matthias
Grevener, who also acts as ANWR’s member of the executive board in charge of international business.
