Montebello, Calif. (Sept. 10, 2014)—Allied Home, the innovative bedding and insulation division of Allied Feather & Down,
is introducing new offerings surrounding responsible sourcing,
traceability and insulation technologies at New York Home Fashion
Market, Sept. 15-17 at 251 West 30th Street (16th floor).
Earlier this year, the Control Union, an accredited global third-party certification body, audited a significant percentage of Allied’s global down supply chain and it’s processing plant to ensure their adherence to the Responsible Down Standard (RDS). Following this audit, Allied was awarded the RDS certificates by Textile Exchange, a global nonprofit dedicated to sustainability in the textile industry. Allied Home will now be able to offer products from that are made with responsibly sourced down.
Allied Home customers will also be able to trace the source of their down using Allied’s innovative Track My Down tool. This traceability tool will allow consumers to learn more about the inside of their bedding product. They will be able to know the exact quality of the down and where their down came from. This new tool offers a level of transparency that has never been available before.
Along with RDS down and Track My Down, Allied Home will be debuting four new down and down blend technologies to the Home Fashion Market. Products made with hyperDRY, BioDown, ThermaDown technologies as well as the new down/synthetic blend FX Down will be on show. These four technologies allow complete flexibility for any private label looking to use Allied down.
“We are excited to be able to offer so many new and innovative products to the New York Home Fashion Market,” said Daniel Uretsky, COO of Allied Feather & Down. “Our new technologies, our responsibly sourced down, and the level of transparency with our practices sets Allied apart from other suppliers.”
