- All new sporty chassis with high-tech components

- Ready to win the ‘daily race’
Never before has a full-faired sportmotorcycle stepped into the segment with more quality, refinement and sports potential. In typical KTM style, the RC 200 boasts first-rate, high-tech components and packs a performance punch with a power-to-weight ratio above its competition. With unprecedented agility and capable of extreme lean angles, the RC 200 is able to out-handle and out-stop whatever the ‘daily race’ can throw at it.
With the KTM 200 DUKE quickly establishing itself as KTM’s biggest selling lower capacity street motorcycle, the new RC series machine look set to follow on from the naked machine’s huge popularity. Sharing the same exciting – yet efficient – engine, the RC receives an all-new chassis, riding position and Grand Prix-inspired bodywork.
This is a bike that not just looks as though it was pulled straight off a Moto3 grid. It is brought to you by the very people who have won both world championships ever held in the 250cc four-stroke class and are once again going strong in the current season. With the RC’s focus on a more sporty potential, it required a new chassis to match these intentions.
New chassis
Though physically similar in appearance to the proven steel trellis frame of the DUKE, the RC’s geometry is critically different in order to fully live up to the ergonomics and riding characteristics of a genuine racer. A steeper steering head, shorter trail and shorter wheelbase give the RC 200 a playful handling, true racetrack capability but – importantly – perfect stability at any speed.
Further differences that set the RC apart from its naked counterpart are changes to the WP Suspension; less travel and firmer, aggressive damping characteristics. At 43mm, the amply sized upside down front forks have the same diameter stanchions as those of the KTM 1190 RC8 R Superbike and add genuine racing equipment to ensure maximum stability and precision.
Proven engine
Set within the orange-painted matrix of tubular steel is the same highly sophisticated, powerful and reliable engine as the 200 DUKE. The short-stroked, liquid-cooled DOHC four-valve 199.5cc single boasts 26hp and 19.5Nm and is mastered by the RC’s electronic fuel injection to deliver incredible response, robust power delivery and great refinement; perfect conditions for a true racing feel, combined with convincing real-world credibility.
High-tech components & PowerParts
Developed together with Brembo, the braking system includes a four-piston radially mounted caliper biting down hard on a 300mm front disc. This offers the rider superb braking power at any speed with important feel at the lever. At 110/70 ZR17 front and 150/60 ZR17, even the tyres have a racing size format to deliver the maximum contact patch with the asphalt.
As no two riders are the same, KTM’s offers a huge array of KTM PowerParts for those who want to tune the new RC 200 to match their individual personality. Refine it, customise it, make it even faster; this is what KTM PowerParts are for. From styling and looks to awesome racing parts and ergonomic adjustments, there are many possibilities when it comes to customising the RC 200.
Available from End of Month onwards, the RC 200 will once again create history for the Austrian-based brand with an incredible sportmotorcycle that is ready to raise the pulse of riders for whatever the challenge of their “daily race”.
