Thousands expected to participate in California's longest-running road race.

WHAT:
Thousands of runners will race along the Pacific Coast Highway for the 60th consecutive year as part of the Surf City 10 mile, 10k and 5k race this Sunday.
California's longest-running road race offers runners scenic oceanfront views along the 10-mile course. Other event activities include a locals-only division, Halloween costume contest, and designer Surfboard Medals for every participant who crosses the finish line.
This year the Surf City 10 has teamed up with Project Self Sufficiency Foundation located in Orange County. The program aims to aid single families enrolled in an educational program in achieving financial independence. Participants' fundraising efforts will make their miles count and directly support local families.
