Debuting this season are two styles of men’s and women’s tops made from Icebreaker’s lightest, finest weight of merino. Icebreaker launched a featherweight series of lifestyle tops for women in Spring/Summer 2013, and the range was so successful as a summer garment that the company has now extended its featherweight merino to its GT apparel.
The Aero Tank and Aero SS Crewe for both men and women are made from 90% premium merino, with 10% nylon for strength and stability. The technical tops are made from soft featherweight 120gm fabric, tapping into the trend for tissue-weight styles. All tops feature anti-chafe flatlocked seams for added comfort.
Neon accents and saturated brights for women include Shocking (a vivid pink), Honeydew (green) and Aegean (blue). Men’s styles feature energy colours such as Heat (orange), Lucky (green) and Aegean (a rich blue).
Icebreaker’s technical sports range is ideal for summer sport and fitness because the premium merino regulates temperature, is highly breathable to prevent clamminess and overheating, dries fast and resists odour – so one outfit can be worn for multiple workouts without washing.
