Teton Gravity Research (TGR) announced that Jeff Harasimowicz has
officially joined TGR as head of production. Harasimowicz most recently
worked at The Weinstein Company in New York, and comes to TGR to help
lead an aggressive expansion of company initiatives throughout the
entertainment and action sports industries. His responsibilities will
include leadership of TGR Studios, including overall production
management, new business development, and high quality content creation.
“TGR Studios’ rapid growth and expansion created a need to bring in an
experienced team member with an extensive background in the inner
workings of the production universe,” says TGR co-founder Todd Jones.
“Jeff’s extensive background in film, series, and commercial development
and sales begins a very exciting new era for our company. We look
forward to moving TGR into new and larger markets in the coming year.”
Harasimowicz
will supervise all aspects of production activity, and report to Todd
and Steve Jones. This will include management of TGR’s resources (both
human and otherwise), generating original and exciting content for a
range of creative platforms, pursuing new and untapped revenue streams
for TGR content, and expanding TGR’s presence to the highest levels of
entertainment. Todd will continue to maintain his focus on the company’s
growing digital media team and merging the worlds of production and
online. Steve will continue to oversee new business development and
manage TGR partnerships.
In recent months, TGR has completed two
award-winning films, The Dream Factory and Further. TGR Studios has
also delivered season two of its ten-episode Jeremy Jones TV series. On
the commercial front, recent projects have included work for Clif Bar
and Optrix HD iPhone Cases.
Founded in 1996, TGR is a
world-renowned action sports production company and lifestyle brand. The
company has grown rapidly in recent years, as evidenced by its
expanding online media presence. In September 2012, Alexa.com ranked
TGR’s website tetongravity.com the #1 snow sports site on the internet.
At
The Weinstein Company, Jeff worked directly with Harvey Weinstein (TWC
Co-Chairman) and participated in all aspects of company operations
during a period of unrivaled success for the studio with, among other
accolades, back-to-back ‘Best Picture’ Oscar Winners (The Artist and The
King’s Speech) and last year’s Best Documentary Oscar Winner
(Undefeated). Prior to joining The Weinstein Company, Jeff worked in Los
Angeles with Avi Arad – the former CEO and Chairman of Marvel Studios,
and United Talent Agency – a global leader in entertainment talent and
literary representation. Jeff is a graduate of Middlebury College in
Vermont.
