Division Six Sports, Inc., the wholesaler of branded off price footwear,
apparel, accessories and hard goods, continues expansion with the
addition of Danya Karoly to its New York-based buying office and
showroom, it was announced by President Ira Leibowitz. Karoly will
report to recently appointed Chief Merchandising Officer, Robert
Kimmell.
“Danya is a very creative merchandise oriented buyer with strong
analytical skills and knowledge of industry trends,” said Leibowitz.
“We are looking forward to utilizing her capabilities to help drive
growth and further enhance our sales.”
Karoly brings more than
15 years of experience across the ladies, men’s and junior apparel
industries, as well as sportswear and footwear. Before joining Division
Six, she worked for Mandees and Annie Sez where she developed key
accounts and business relationships for the company while expanding the
vendor matrix. Prior to that, Karoly spent several years as the senior
buyer for junior sportswear, ladies shoes and men’s apparel at
Burlington Coat Factory.
“We are excited to have Danya join our
team, “ said Kimmell. “She has a solid understanding of strategic sales
planning and product placement that will be beneficial to Division
Six.”
In her new role, Karoly’s primary focus will be working
with footwear and apparel vendors in the women’s contemporary, missy and
junior categories, while expanding Division Six’s overall east coast
presence.
