Timberland, which was acquired by VF Corp. in 2011, appointed Camila
Vesth as its new global design director for apparel and accessories.
Vesth was previously at Adidas for four years where she worked in
Germany and afterwards moved to head up the women’s team in the US
department. More recently Camila was head of creative apparel and
accessories at Le Coq Sportif and also supervised collections for
Karmameju and the yoga and running company Run and Relax.
She will be
based at the Timberland International Design Centre in London and will
report to Rene Skytte, VP Global Apparel & Accessories.
Vesth
said, “I have been given this great opportunity to work with a brand
that is truly reinventing itself and aiming for even higher standards
than those Timberland already stands for. I am certain Timberland will
become an even bigger player in the apparel market going forward and I
am proud to be part of the team leading the way as the Design Director.”
Skytte

process of repositioning the brand according to our vision of becoming
the largest and most sustainable outdoor lifestyle brand in the market
place. She has already adopted to the unique Timberland culture,
introducing a visionary design strategy and has produced a working
