Bavaria Yachtbau GmbH and Nautitech Catamarans have finalised
negotiations for the French catamaran manufacturer to be acquired by the
Giebelstadt-based company. With this move, BAVARIA – the second largest
manufacturer of sailing and motor yachts in the world – expands its
product portfolio of monohull yachts to include the rapidly growing
market for catamarans and continues along its targeted course of opening
up new markets.
"The market for cruising catamarans is a fast-growing segment, not
only for private owners but even more so for the charter market. Bavaria
has always had been very well positioned in both markets. With
Nautitech Catamarans and its experienced team, led by founder Bruno
Voisard, we have found the right partner to gain access to the catamaran
market," said Constantin von Bülow, CEO of Bavaria Yachts.
NAUTITECH CATAMARANS has been manufacturing top quality 40- to
60-foot catamarans at their Rochefort site on the French Atlantic coast
since 2004. NAUTITECH catamarans are designed and built by its founder,
Bruno Voisard, and his experienced team of multihull specialists. The
latest creation by NAUTITECH CATAMARANS is a 40-foot catamaran,
developed in collaboration with serial production specialist Marc
Lombard. Like the five other models in the current NAUTITECH CATAMARANS
range, the new 40-foot catamaran features an innovative use of spatial
design combined with excellent comfort, as well as high product quality
and fast and safe sailing characteristics.
"Bavaria is the ideal partner for Nautitech Catamarans. As a building
block, our catamarans are an optimum addition to the Bavaria Yachts
product portfolio. Nautitech has experienced rapid growth over the past
years and we look forward to continuing along this course with Bavaria,"
explains Bruno Voisard, chief of NAUTITECH CATAMARANS.
BAVARIA and NAUTITECH CATAMARANS will be exhibiting together for the first time in Cannes from 9 - 14 September.
