LOS ANGELES--SPEEDO NORTH AMERICA today unveiled Speedo Fit, a new fitness app and companion website, designed to help swimmers of all levels set and reach their swim – and fitness – goals by providing platforms for motivation, guidance and community.
Through the Speedo Fit app, which is now live in North America and available for download at the iTunes App Store, users will be able to log and track swims, join challenges, interact with friends, find pools, learn proper technique and much more in a completely new, digital experience.
Building upon SPEEDO’s core mission to inspire more people to swim, and with more people swimming for fitness than ever before, Speedo Fit is designed to motivate and empower fitness swimmers by providing the tips, tools and resources they need to “Dive In.”

Understanding that swimmers of all levels are looking for more guidance in and out of the pool – and are aiming to improve their workouts and technique – Speedo Fit’s new feature set gives users the opportunity to:
TRACK THEIR SWIMS, by logging their swims and following their progress. Speedo Fit lets users track their distance, duration and sets over days, weeks, and months via the app’s Dashboard function.
SET MAP AND DISTANCE GOALS, by competing with friends in global swim routes as a fun way to measure your swim accomplishments, and working toward individual distance goals by taking on one of Speedo Fit’s structured plans. Through the Map Goals feature, Speedo Fit lets you visualize the actual distance you’ve been swimming in the pool by “virtually” swimming some of the world’s most exotic swim destinations, including an “Amazon Adventure” and “Bali Escape.” The workout plans in the Distance Goals help users stay motivated by tracking their improvement in individual swim workouts and celebrating weekly milestones.
DISCOVER POOLS, by searching and saving your favorite pools. Speedo Fit helps you to locate local pools, find pool info (from hours to pool length and contact info), and see where others are swimming so that you can save your favorite pools – and never be far from a great swim spot.
CONNECT WITH FRIENDS, by getting social. In addition to the interactive element of the Map Goals feature, Speedo Fit encourages users to comment and like each other’s swims, compare swim stats, and see who’s on the leaderboard. While some swimmers enjoy the solitary aspect of swimming, Speedo Fit makes it easy to join the swim community and to engage with other swimmers for support, recognition and motivation.
LEARN TIPS AND TECHNIQUES, with featured videos and tips designed to help users improve their swim technique for maximum results. When you’re ready to take your swimming to the next level, Speedo Fit includes training videos and swim tips from experts – featuring some of Team Speedo USA’s biggest stars including 12-time Olympic medalist Natalie Coughlin, four-time Olympic medalist and mom Summer Sanders, 11-time Olympic medalist Ryan Lochte, three-time Olympic gold medalist Nathan Adrian, Olympic gold medalist Jessica Hardy, and Olympic gold medalist Tyler Clary – that will improve your swim technique for maximum fitness results.
AND GEAR UP, helping fitness swimmers find the right gear based on their individual needs. Whether you’re just getting started in fitness swimming, looking for the right training aids to improve technique, a frequent swimmer looking for products that will last, or wanting to train like the pros, the Gear section has curated Speedo product sets to improve your swims.
Speedo Fit’s partner website, which is now live at speedousa.com/speedofit, provides a new branded experience that showcases the app’s features and benefits, as well as the technique videos and curated gear featured in the app. The site will also evolve into a hub of content for fitness swimmers and launch in stages with new content and features, including new workouts and more expert advice, throughout the coming months.

Developed in partnership with Speedo International, Speedo Fit is the first truly global swim fitness app from the world’s leading swim brand. It replaces Speedo Pace Club, which launched in 2011 as a swim training tool for competitive swimmers. Key learnings and content from Pace Club were used to create Speedo Fit, which is tailored to fitness swimmers of all levels and abilities.
