US, RIDE Snowboards Hires Topher Laws as Northwest Sales Representative

Seattle (October 1, 2014) -- RIDE Snowboards, a worldwide leader in the snowboard industry, continues to enhance their sales force with the addition of Topher Laws to the team. Laws brings more than 12 years of experience in the skate, snow, and surf industries to RIDE and will manage sales in the Northwest region covering Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho and Alaska. Based in Bend, Oregon, Laws is a passionate snowboarder and brings charisma and knowledge to his new post to help amplify RIDE’s brand awareness in his territory.

“After an extensive eight-month search and reading through lots of resumes, I am stoked to welcome Topher to the family,” said Jim Linnberg, National Sales Manager at RIDE. “Topher comes to RIDE with a long history of working with our retail partners in the Northwest and a deep knowledge of the snowboard industry. His passion for riding and genuine character are just a couple standout qualities that make him a perfect addition to our sales force.”

Laws was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, before the city became well-known for its microbrews, coffee, and hipness. He started skateboarding and snowboarding at an early age, and soon realized that the snowboard lifestyle was going to take over – and has shaped his life ever since. Twelve years ago he started Evergreen Industries, a sales agency that focuses on all things skate, snow, and surf. 

"I’m excited to be working with such a strong brand as RIDE, and being from the Northwest I have always been a fan of the company,” said Laws. “As far as heritage goes there are few brands that have the roots that RIDE has, and the new infusion of personnel and team riders makes me super hyped on what is to come. This also means I can bust out my old Jason Ford pro model with Preston bindings."
