November 17th, 2014, Charlottesville, VA- Bad to
the Bone Endurance Sports is proud to announce the conception of a new
innovative event: the Adam and Eve Half Marathon and 8K. The race will
take place on Saturday, February 14th in Charlottesville, Virginia.
The Adam and Eve Half Marathon and 8K will celebrate the love of
running and love in general and will be Charlottesville’s first SOCIAL
RUN. During the registration process and to advertise their
relationship status, competitors will choose between a RED shirt (if in a
relationship), a GREEN shirt (if single and ready to mingle) or YELLOW
shirt (if the situation is complicated).
“The Adam and Eve Half Marathon and 8K will take place on Valentines
Day and celebrate everyone who loves to run” says Dr. Francesca Conte,
Race Director and Bad to the Bone President. “It will be much more than
a just Valentines Day run: it will be a celebration of existing
relationships and a catalyst for new ones. What better way to meet
someone who shares your interest than meeting them at a race!”
The Adam and Eve Half Marathon and 8K will welcome singles and
couples alike of all orientations. When registering, runners will
choose amongst 5 divisions: “Adam and Eve” (couple), “Adam and Steve”
(couple), “Eva and Eve” (couple), “Adam” (single), “Eve” (single) and
“It’s Complicated” (single or couple).
As Charlottesville’s first social run, the Adam and Eve Half Marathon
and 8K and will be the perfect place to meet new friends, to change
your status from “single” to “in a relationship” and to share the love
of running in the process.
