Dr. Cool, the First Fabric Wrap for Ice Therapy and Compression, is Named a Finalist in the First-Ever ITMA Future Materials Awards

Dr. Cool Chosen as a Finalist in the “Best Innovation – Sports and Outdoor Apparel Textiles” Category

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (October 1, 2014) – Dr. Cool, the first flexible fabric wrap to combine ice and compression, has been named a finalist in the inaugural ITMA Future Materials Awards (futurematerialsawards.com) in “Best Innovation – Sports and Outdoor Apparel Textiles” category.

Winners will be announced at an awards dinner ceremony on Nov. 26, 2014, at The Westin Bellevue in Dresden, Germany.  The World Textile Information Network (WTiN) developed the Future Materials Awards to reward innovation in the technical textiles markets and will recognize winners in 16 categories, including the best innovations in sportswear, protective textiles, industrial textiles and medical textiles.

“Being recognized by this esteemed panel is a testament to the innovative nature of our Dr. Cool wraps,” stated Nick Skally, director of marketing for Dr. Cool and Coolcore.  “We’re excited to bring this convenient recovery solution to the market, so people can get better faster and keep doing what they love.”

Coolcore launched the Dr. Cool wraps at retail in June of this year with specialty and sporting goods retailers across North America.  Dr. Cool wraps are able to provide ice therapy in a fabric wrap thanks to the proprietary Coolcore material formulation that benefits the user by combining ice and compression in a multi-use wrap.
