Webnews : Ski Goggle Lens Gallery Designed for Prescription Ski Goggles

ADS Sports Eyewear created an image gallery to help skiers see how prescription lenses will look in various prescription ski goggle lenses. Interactive 360 degree product views allow shoppers to rotate each goggle with their mouse to compare the sizes and features of each ski goggle.

Prescription ski goggles have a prescription insert inside the goggle lens. Some mirrored ski goggle lenses will hide this insert entirely, while many standard lenses will make it obvious that the skier is wearing prescription lenses. ADS Sports Eyewear photographed dozens of prescription ski goggles on models to show shoppers exactly what each lens will look like when worn with a prescription lens.

ADS Sports Eyewear also built a video studio that includes an eyewear turntable. Ski Goggles are photographed while turning 360 degrees. This software creates an interactive file that allows shoppers to turn the ski goggles 360 degrees by clicking and holding down on the goggle image, then moving the mouse left to right. A scale of measure is printed on the turntable to allow shoppers to compare size of one goggle to the next, or to compare each goggle to the goggles to goggles they already own. The 360 animations for the models of each brand are linked to on each of the manufacturer's ski goggle pages.

Free-form digital surfacing technology is used in all prescription ski goggles from ADS Sports Eyewear. This technology provides a much larger field of vision for skiers wearing prescription goggles.

Prescription ski goggle lenses can be single vision or progressive lenses. Bifocal lenses are also available, but bifocal prescription lenses are not available with the new free-form technology.
