Converse CONS Engineered Auckland Racer Formulated with Innovative Woven Jacquard Fabric

Bold Americana and vibrant horizon colors of the collection invoke a summery look.

CONVERSE Inc. announces the launch the Converse CONS First String Engineered Auckland Racer sneaker collection, a stylish update on a classic silhouette, modernized with an innovative Engineered Canvas Jacquard fabric that creatively reimagines the heritage Converse canvas. The sneaker features a one-piece upper construction of canvas fabric, woven with sophisticated, intricate patterns seamlessly integrated into one cohesive design for a slim, lightweight feel. This unique fabrication expresses multiple patterns with differing weave structures to highlight the refined jacquard technique.

The Converse CONS First String Engineered Auckland Racer makes a contemporary statement for summer with five colors — the classic Red, White and Navy are a stylish nod to Americana, and Mint Leaf and Fiery Coral are bright coastal colors that invoke summer travel. The innovative engineered texture incorporates three weave patterns in one — standard, twill and basket weaves — and complements the streamlined silhouette with a speckled midsole and semi-transparent rubber outsole.

Branded with the iconic CONS Chevron prominently, the Converse CONS First String Engineered Auckland Racer has a skeleton lining that keeps the sneaker ultra-light, and a marbled rubber sock liner that adds a shock of graphic contrast to the inside. They also include waxed round laces with reflective threading detailing, as well as an additional matching tonal lace.

Converse First String is a limited-edition collection that celebrates craftsmanship, authenticity and collaboration at the highest level.

The Converse CONS Engineered Auckland Racer in Mint Leaf and Fiery Coral will be available at Converse retail stores, Bodega in Boston, Juice in Hong Kong and Patta in Amsterdam on Friday, Aug. 15 for a suggested retail price of $120 USD.

The Red, White and Navy sneakers will be available exclusively at Converse stores in North America on Friday, Aug. 22 for a suggested retail price of $120 USD.
