January 2, 2014 (Rogers, CONN) – Rogers Corporation, designer and manufacturer of specialty materials including PORON® XRD® Extreme Impact Protection, announces today the hiring of Seal Wu as a new sales engineer in South China to help bolster its efforts on the active lifestyle, outdoor and footwear industry segments.

Wu has over 11 years experience in the footwear industry, and prior to Rogers, worked on Stella International Footwear Company’s purchasing team for more than seven years. Wu is extremely familiar with the footwear, outdoor and active lifestyle industries, and will work closely with Roger’s U.S., European and Asian teams to continue to grow sales and build the strong reputation of the XRD brand. His presence in South China will also help XRD customers establish a greater local connection to key supply chain stakeholders.

“The addition of Seal to the PORON and XRD team is an important investment by Rogers,” says Brian Larabee, Rogers Global Marketing Director. “His experience will help us to expand deeper into key growth industries for XRD and Rogers.”

In addition to hiring Wu, Rogers Corp recently signed public relations agency Backbone Media for its PORON and XRD active and lifestyle PR efforts.
