This spring, Vans partners with eclectic surf brand, Captain Fin Co., on a full capsule of apparel, accessories and footwear. Affectionately known as “The Captain,” internationally renowned surfer Mitch Abshere founded Captain Fin Co. on selling custom built surfboard fins featuring unique templates and artwork by surfers like Joel Tudor, Dane Reynolds, and Alex Knost, in addition to artists like Thomas Campbell, Andy Davis, and more. As an expressive platform for some of the most influential personalities in surfing to create and experiment with custom fins, Captain Fin Co. celebrates originality in surf lifestyle while progressing the sport in its own inventive way.

‘The Captain’, steered by the simple philosophy of “bringing fun back to the beach,” imparts his unmistakable panache to create a colorful assortment of Vans x Captain Fin Co. goods, unifying the distinctive DNA of two classic Southern California surf brands.
