Carlo Boroli, the Italian entrepreneur who took over Briko in 2008, has
sold his publishing company and is now concentrating completely on this
Italian brand of sports eyewear, helmets and clothing.
Gianluca
Pellegrinelli, the former manager of Intersport Italia who joined Briko
as managing director three years ago, has left the company.
A new
customization program for snow helmets and goggles offered to about 200
dealers around the world last year helped Briko to keep the sales
decline for last year under 10 percent. As we reported in December,
Briko is working more closely with Salewa: After taking over the
distribution of the brand in Austria, France and Poland through its
local subsidiaries, Salewa is handling it now also in Germany.
