US, DICK'S Sporting Goods Announces Grand Opening Celebration in Panama City Beach, FL

PITTSBURGH, Feb. 24, 2014  -- DICK'S Sporting Goods (NYSE: DKS), the largest U.S. based full-line omni-channel sporting goods retailer, invites the community of Panama City Beach to their three-day grand opening. 

The celebration runs Friday, March 7 through Sunday, March 9 at the retailer's new Pier Park North location (15700 Panama City Beach Park).  Special extended store hours will be in effect all weekend. Store opens at 8:00 a.m. Friday and Saturday and 9:00 a.m. Sunday.  

Throughout the weekend, DICK'S will host a variety of giveaways, including a free Under Armour Tech™ T-shirt for the first 100 people in line on Friday and a free Mystery Gift Card from $5 to $500 for the first 100 adults in line on Saturday and Sunday. Guests who get in line early will receive their unique combination for a chance to open the DICK'S Sporting Goods Gift Locker at 7:45 a.m. on Friday and Saturday and 8:45 a.m. on Sunday.*  

On Saturday, former running back Fred Taylor will make an appearance in-store from 1:00 pm – 3:00 p.m.** After winning three consecutive SEC Championships with his alma mater, the University of Florida, Taylor joined the Jacksonville Jaguars as the ninth pick overall in the 1998 NFL Draft.
