The Itajaí International Boat Show,
organised by GPO in partnership with the Brazilian Ministry of Tourism,
the State of Santa Catarina and the city of Itajaí, which was to have
been held from February 11-16th next, has been deferred until November
5-10 2014.
This new date, arranged at the request of the Itajaí City
Council, will tie in with the inauguration of the first stage of the new
Itajaí marina, the 'Porto Esportivo' which will be ready for this
occasion.
Bear in mind that the new Itajaí marina is a
large-scale project for Brazil and the south of the country, with 700
in-water moorings and 300 places on land. This marina will allow for the
hundred or so in-water boats expected to be present to be exhibited
under the best possible conditions.
In addition, this delay
will allow many Brazilian, French and international exhibitors,
currently concentrating on the Miami Boat Show (USA), to be better
represented at the first large-scale in-water boat show in southern
Brazil.
