Nike SB Winter Competition Kit: Innovative Snowboard and Ski Uniforms Unveiled

When the big moment arrives, an athlete cannot afford to lose focus for a second. To help athletes achieve the highest accolades, Nike SB has created the Winter Competition Kit: competition gear designed to help riders to focus on the task at hand – performing their best.

Over the next three weeks, Nike snowboard and ski athletes from Norway, Switzerland and Japan will compete in the kit, which includes a Jacket, Shirt, Hoodie, Pants and Mitts — all featuring a bold new blacked-out aesthetic that guarantees all eyes are on them. The kit is finished with Nike's LunarENDOR Quickstrike Snowboard Boot; and the Nike x Dragon Khyber Goggle. A full system of dress, the Nike SB Winter Competition Kit gives athletes everything they need to stay dialed during competition.

Winter Competition Shirt

This jacket combines Nike Aeroloft technology with 800 fill down and Primaloft sport polyfill for warmth and increased breathability. Its made-for-movement stretch fabric has insets with strategic pocketing on the chest, allowing for proper ventilation to help regulate temperature while active. A heat reflecting titanium coated lining also boosts warmth retention. Designed with a streetwear aesthetic, the Mid-Layer can be worn as a stand-alone piece or layered with a hoodie or jacket, to create a system that is right for any weather condition.

Winter Competition Jacket

Designed for lightweight movement, the Nike 3L Shell Jacket features a stretch insert back body panel and reduced seam panels giving athletes full upper-body range of motion and allowing them to maneuver down the mountain without a second thought. Lightweight 3-layer construction joins 12 denure shell stretch fabric, water-repellent vislon zippers, zoned venting and a stretch powder skirt that connects to the pant for ultimate range of motion and element protection.

Winter Competition Hoodie

Combining street style with a technical functionality that is tested and approved by pro riders, this pullover’s premium stretch fabric can handle loads of abuse thanks to the use of Deltapeak material from Teijin. The Enigma’s water-repellent vislon zippers, underarm laser venting and DWR (Durable Water Repellent) fabric are topped off with a warming neck gaiter with Vapor-Elimination-System holes, reflective overlay film detail and a true low-profile flat seam construction, allowing for layering without bulk.

Winter Competition Pant

Boasting a rider-inspired articulated fit with stretch insets, and laser-cut/bonded pant connection points, the Enigma Pant provides less distraction for the wearer and superior on-mountain performance. The Enigma construction, a marriage of streetwear aesthetic and performance design, still appears oversized and features a true waist, custom adjustable waist gaiter and Nike Sphere lining for warmth and breathability. Lastly, to keep athletes cool and dry, Nike utilized outseam venting with water-repellent zippers.

LunarEndor Quickstrike Boot

Standing out in the night sky with a battery-powered LED Swoosh is Nike SB’s most technologically advanced boot on the market. The LunarENDOR’s Lunarlon foam softens landings with plush responsiveness, and its dynamic support system helps keeps legs and hips naturally aligned during competition. A customizable flex line system allows for three levels of stiffness and features a 3-D molded upper. A Nike Flywire inner lacing system further enhances fit, while strobel technology attracts and stores heat for an on-mountain experience never seen or felt before. Exclusively for the upcoming competition, athletes will receive a new Volt colorway.

Nike x Dragon Khyber

Teaming up to create superior eyewear technology, style and innovation, Nike and Dragon have created a pair of goggles designed to provide maximum insulation and wind protection. Riders gain an unobstructed field of view thanks to an integrated venting construction, with a flexible polyurethane frame that provides a secure fit as well as increased comfort and airflow. As mountain conditions change during competition, a speed-change lens system allows quick adaptation to outdoor light changes and a fully sealed anti-fog treated dual lens ensures consistent clarity in all situations.
