With a core constructed of high-end, FSC bamboo, the longboards will utilize RAMP’s unique vacuum molding process, which enables them to make any shape mold while enhancing the durability and flex of each board. RAMP has also developed a new graphic process that produces the same rich graphic on both the bottom bamboo layer and the non-skid material on top. In addition, RAMP will use locally harvested Redmond’s Real Salt out of Utah to mix with the top resin for a better grip.
“With several avid longboarders making up our team of employees, longboards were a natural extension of the RAMP product line. We were able to turn our factory in to a skateboard test lab of sorts in the past year.” said Mike Kilchenstein, President and CESnow of RAMP Sports. “After a year of testing and evaluating riders feedback, we are excited to be launching this much anticipated line. The boards look just as great as they ride.”
The line will include the 45-inch Peacepipe, a rugged, flexible and energetic longboard, perfect for high-speed cruising, carving downhill or just a joy ride around town. The line will also include the Kapow, a 63-inch longboard to take cruising down a boardwalk or double as a land/street SUP. With just the right combination of burly strength and flexibility, it literally lets you take surfing to the streets.
