At Interbike next week, e-bike maker Currie Technologies will host
two separate screenings of "Iceland Challenge - eFlow through ice and fire," a short film by Susanne Brüsch of Pedelec Adventures.
This summer, the Pedelec Adventures team went on their third
pioneering trip to show what's possible on electric bikes. For this
year's journey, the adventurers chose Iceland - a country that has been
shaped by ice and fire, wind and water.
Traveling between glaciers, hot
springs and volcanoes, the founders of Pedelec Adventures, Susanne
Brüsch and Ondra Veltrusky and their team faced the Nordic elements on
eFlow Nitro electric bikes provide by Currie Technologies.
Currie will host two separate screenings during which Brüsch will
provide a lead-in presentation about the film and answer questions
about the team's adventure.
Interbike is being held at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas,
and the screenings will be on Wednesday, September 18 during a happy
hour at 5 p.m. in Currie's booth #24098, and on Thursday during a happy
hour at 5 p.m. in the LEVA eBike Lounge located in the southeast corner
of the Bayside D Hall.
In 2011, journalist and electric bike expert Susanne Brüsch and
expedition manager Ondra Veltrusky founded the Pedelec Adventures
project, focused towards developing travel concepts by combining
adventures on pedelecs and e-bikes with inspiring destinations around
the globe. The Berlin-based travel enthusiasts turn this concept into
reality by taking off on multi-week excursions that function as both a
product field test, as well as a way to inspire the electric bike world
with exciting reports, presentations, unique photos and films.
By sharing their experiences and their own enthusiasm for the new
bicycle species, the Pedelec Adventures team aims to promote electric
mobility in a way that demonstrates the fun that can be had with these
vehicles. After riding pedelec tours though Morocco and Mongolia,
Iceland Challenge has been their third adventure.
Currie Technologies, an Accell Group company, is renowned for
their large selection of stylish, premium quality and technologically
advanced electric bicycles marketed under the IZIP and eFlow brand
names. The company is also the exclusive distributor of Germany's
Haibike electric bikes. Based in Simi Valley, CA., the company holds
various patents on its products including their Electro- Drive
Propulsion Systems, unique electric drive systems that provide superior
performance and durability at a reasonable price.
