Awards : ISPO MUNICH names winners of this year’s awards

Messe München has announced this year’s winners of the ISPO AWARD. In addition to the regular prizes for the “Products of the Year”, the jury has also selected this time the overall winners in the new categories of “Asian Products” and “Marketing:”

- Action sports: Burton for its M2 goggle, whose frame features eight magnets to stabilize the changable glasses.

- Outdoor: Edelrid for its climbing rope, called Snipe 9.8/10 mm. A new manufacturing process named EnduroTec allows to produce one rope with two different diameters.




V-Werks
- Ski: Völkl for its new line of freeride skis, V-Werks. Its Katana ski features a full rocker construction covered by 3-dimensional ultralight carbon fiber.

- Performance: Mio Global for Alpha, a new heartrate monitor which is a wrist-top device without breast belt. It combines optical sensors with innovative filter software to provide reliable and easy-to-use reading of the heartrate.




B1XG1 Jacket by Black Yak
- Asian Product of the Year: B1XG1 Jacket by Black Yak. The first winner ever in this new category secured the prize for a jacket combining extraordinary design with state-of-the-art temperature management and waterproofness.

- Communication of the Year: As reported earlier, Mammut won this new title for its multi-channel campaign celebrating the brand’s 150th anniversary.

The lucky winners will receive the prizes during a celebratation to be held on Monday in hall A6, 122B. The award-winning items will be exhibited during the ISPO MUNICH show in hall B3, stand 405.
