Pearl Izumi Releases Spring/Summer 2015 Mountain Bike Line

Louisville, Colo. (Mar. 2, 2015)- Pearl Izumi, maker of ride, run and triathlon performance apparel and footwear, is excited to announce their new line of mountain bike apparel for this spring/summer. The line features new improved fit specific for men and women, new design and colors.

Pearl Izumi started by designing the women’s line, rather than working backwards from the men’s line, a decision driven by the opportunity to deliver innovative gear for women that they could feel good in. This same focus energized their men’s line, with a goal to make a rider’s outfit suit their personal style.

Technical performance is expected at this point, so we looked at how we could be different in fit, color, and how riders want to feel on their bike. Lots of industry folks have wondered why women don’t spend more money on cycling apparel, and we found that they feel what’s currently available doesn’t reflect who they are”, said Pearl Izumi marketing manager, Andrew Hammond. “Women want to ride, and they also want to look and feel good in what they’re wearing. This collection delivers.”

The new women’s line includes a wide range of styles; tanks, sleeveless, traditional 3-pocket, short sleeve and 3/4 sleeve jerseys, plus run inspired 5″ inseam shorts to full baggy style shell shorts. The men’s line also features a range of styles with unique trail, XC and all-mountain designs.
