Green Golf Partners Aims to Develop New Marketing Programming for its Golf Properties
CHICAGO and INDIANAPOLIS, May 1, 2015-- The game of golf is in need of a resurgence of participation across the U.S. Indianapolis-based Green Golf Partners (GGP) is entering the spring golf season with a new marketing and communications "driver" in the golf bag with Chicago-based public relations firm Ripson Communications to help them increase engagement at the course level and its communities in which it operates in six states across the country.
GGP is poised to help further a renaissance in the game of golf, bringing decades of experience in golf course management with a portfolio featuring courses including such notable properties as Kemper Lakes Golf Club in Kildeer, Illinois; Osprey Cove in St. Mary's, Georgia; and the Belleview Biltmore Golf Club in Belleair, Florida.
One of the goals of GGP is to make the game of golf more approachable for all generations. Despite the recent excitement and increase in CBS television viewership by 26% on Sunday, April 12th for the Masters win by 21-year-old Jordan Spieth, the game of golf has seen a recent downturn in participation in the U.S. According to the National Golf Foundation and the U.S. Census Department, 29 million people play golf in the U.S. Yet that represents only 9.6% of the total U.S. population. GGP's mission is to help bring fun back into the game of golf through the original form of "social media" – playing a game of golf face-to-face with friends on your local public course or private club.
