New Product : Oris, Diving revolutionary new Oris Aquis Depth Gauge

Oris presents the first diving watch that calculates the depth by allowing water to enter the interior of the sapphire crystal.Renowned for its professional dive watches, Oris is proud to present the new Oris Aquis Depth Gauge. At the forefront of innovation in mechanical watches, Oris has used its know-how and technical expertise to make the first dive watch that measures the depth by allowing water to penetrate the inside of the sapphire of the timepiece.

Revolutionizing the world of professional diving, where safety and security are paramount, Oris engineers have applied the law of Boyle (describing the effects of pressure on the gas) to watch Oris Aquis patented Depth Gauge. The sapphire designed to serve as depth is 50% thicker than those generally used. A 12, an opening forming a half circle leads water to a lateral groove which is filled counterclockwise around the dial. Technical feat, the sapphire crystal case is sealed by a rubber gasket.

During the descent, the air inside of the groove is compressed by the pressure of the surrounding water, allowing it to penetrate through the opening at 12. On the edge of the dial, the connection between the gray (compressed air) and dark gray (water) indicates the depth graduations readable thanks to yellow on the dial perimeter.

Diver safety is crucial, the innovative Oris gauge ensures extremely accurate, real-time depth - especially useful, even vital, for decompression at shallower depths during lifts. The stainless steel case of the real instrument is equipped with a unidirectional rotating bezel with black ceramic ring bears the graduation dedicated to the calculation of diving time. Water resistant to 500 meters, the new Oris Aquis Depth Gauge is a technical innovation in the depth measurement and sets a new milestone in the field of diving watches.
