LAS VEGAS--INTERBIKE – Booth #14165 – Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc.’s Cycle Sports Division today introduced the SGX-CA500S, a packaged system that includes the advanced SGX-CA500 Cycle-Computer with LCD touchscreen display, the same computer used by professional cycling teams UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling and Belkin Pro Cycling, an ANT+™ heart rate monitor, and an ANT+ speed and cadence sensor. The one-box solution provides everything a rider needs to track key performance metrics such as heart rate data during a ride session as well as highly accurate and reliable speed and distance data for maximum on-bike performance improvement and training effectiveness.

Pioneer SGX-CA500 Cycle-Computer
Lightweight and compact, the SGX-CA500 Cycle-Computer utilizes a 1.87-inch Monochrome LCD touchscreen display with backlight to provide continuous rider feedback. The display interface is highly customizable and features six programmable screens, six bike profiles, and 16 different programmable layouts to choose from for each screen view.
The computer is built with ANT+ wireless connectivity and can easily be paired with compatible ANT+ sensors including the bundled heart rate monitor and speed and cadence sensor, as well as with any ANT+ power meter including Pioneer’s dual-leg power meter. Three gigabytes of memory are available to store ride event data and a 12 hour rechargeable lithium ion battery powers the computer.
For added convenience, the SGX-CA500 features Wi-Fi connectivity, so it can automatically and wirelessly upload collected data for after-ride analysis in Pioneer’s Cyclo-Sphere online service, as well as the popular Strava® social fitness website and TrainingPeaks®.
Heart Rate Monitor
The ANT+ heart rate monitor with chest strap enables users to track heart rate data, monitor intensity, and help train with heart rate target zones during rides. Heart rate metrics available on the paired Cycle-Computer include current heart rate, workout, lap, and last lap max or last lap average heart rate. With heart rate feedback, cyclists can also track calories burned. The heart rate monitor is detachable so the strap can be washed after use.
Speed and Cadence Sensor
The ANT+ speed and cadence sensor simply mounts to the chainstay of the rider’s bike with a supplied strap to accurately track speed, distance traveled, and pedaling cadence based on actual tire and pedaling rotation. Speed and cadence data available on the paired Cycle-Computer includes total workout, lap, and last lap max or last lap average.
The Pioneer SGX-CA500S LCD Touchscreen GPS Cycle-Computer Bundle will be available in November with a suggested retail price of $379.99.
