The main sources of
growth are in running, hard goods and footwear for outdoor sports
(hiking and trail running). Analysts predict that the sportswear market
in Japan will grow 2% per year from now through 2018.
The outdoor
sports equipment market represented an estimated 182 billion JPY (1.4
billion euros) in 2014, up 45 billion JPY from 2009.
